It seems as the months pass, every company in the UK are jumping on the Mobile App Bandwagon. This all good and well, but customers are only going to download so many Apps, so you have to market your App in a way that is unique to help you stand out from your competitor.
Below are a few tips that I give to all my clients, and as I tell them before they sign up with Cynergy Tech, an App will only be as successful as the owner in control of it.
1. Use your Facebook page to promote your app, 10 years ago businesses didn't have this platform, and now a lot of companies have thousands of followers, these are customers already interested in your service, so use your page to market your App to people who will benefit from using it.
2. Offer your customers something in the App they can't get anywhere else, for example if you own a takeaway and your trying to get customers of Just Eat and on to your App then offer something like '20% off all first time orders via our App'. Although don't just stop there, on a monthly basis give discounts via the App that will encourage your customers to keep using it, and this will encourage repeat business.
3. Never think because you have hit so many downloads that you should stop marketing your App, it is like everything else in advertising, you need to keep it up to date, fresh and unique, as your competitors are most likely doing the same.
4. When you launch your App do it with something special, not just a free £5 spend if you download, or something silly, I highly recommend buying something like a holiday, or concert tickets to giveaway for a lucky winner who downloads your app, you may be out of pocket at the start but the downloads, orders/purchases and customers you receive afterwards will pay you back tenfold.
So if you follow the tips above and you have an App that looks good, works well and is reliable, it will bring your company nothing but success, your customers are mobile, your business should be also.
